Job Summary
As the Head of Division Platforms & Infrastructure at Zeppelin GmbH, you will hold overall responsibility for the stable, secure, and future-oriented operation of the group's IT infrastructure. Your primary mission involves leading the transformation of the legacy IT landscape toward modern, cloud-oriented, and highly automated platforms. You will direct multiple specialized teams across areas such as Core Services, Managed Client, and Identity Governance, while overseeing the IT Service Desk and on-site support to ensure high service quality. A significant portion of the role involves managing international offshore service providers and developing sustainable cloud and hosting strategies focused on scalability and resilience. This position is ideal for a strategic leader who can balance technical architecture development—including Infrastructure as Code and hybrid IT environments—with rigorous budget management and stakeholder engagement at the C-level. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of leadership experience in managing IT infrastructure departments, teams, or large-scale IT projects, ideally within international or matrix organizations.
- Proven track record in outsourcing and the management of external IT service providers, specifically including cooperation with offshore partners.
- Extensive experience in transforming legacy systems into modern cloud-based platforms, including migration strategies and architectural redesign.
- Professional experience in operating hybrid IT landscapes (on-premise and cloud).
- Demonstrated experience in IT Service Management, including Incident, Problem, and Performance Management.
- Experience collaborating with international, interdisciplinary teams and managing C-level stakeholders.
