Job Summary

This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing data infrastructures and processes within the Zeppelin IT central function in Garching near Munich. The Data Engineer will ensure the efficient and secure provision of data for analysis and reporting, focusing heavily on data modeling, ETL processes, and Data Warehouse automation, utilizing modern tools and Cloud Services (specifically Snowflake and AWS are mentioned). Day-to-day responsibilities include advancing the BI platform architecture, monitoring system performance, managing operating costs and security standards, and acting as a Platform Admin for rights and roles management. Success requires a background in Computer Science or a related technical field, extensive experience in data modeling, ETL, and Data Warehouse automation, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with agile, data-driven development processes.
