Job Summary
As an IT Azure Cloud Expert at General Dynamics European Land Systems - Bridge Systems, you will play a pivotal role in designing and operating high-security cloud environments for a leading manufacturer of military and civilian bridge systems. Your daily responsibilities include building Azure Landing Zones, managing IaaS/PaaS infrastructure, and implementing advanced AI solutions using Azure OpenAI and Machine Learning. You will drive automation through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and ensure robust security via Zero Trust architectures and Microsoft Defender. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys bridging the gap between cloud governance and hands-on automation. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification; relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500) and ITIL Foundation are required.
Experience
- More than 5 years of professional experience in IT or cloud-related roles
- Extensive experience in designing and operating Microsoft Azure environments
- Proven track record with Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD pipelines
- Professional experience in hybrid-cloud environments including Active Directory and Entra ID
- Experience in implementing IT security standards and Zero-Trust concepts
- Experience in scripting and automation workflows

Additional
- Spanish language skills are considered an advantage. Candidates must provide salary expectations and availability. The role is based in Kaiserslautern with a 35-hour work week under the Metal & Electrical industry tariff.
