This leadership role involves the strategic, organizational, and personnel management of the Health Department for the District of Helmstedt, overseeing a team of 47 employees. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Public Administration, Administrative Business Administration, or Health Management (Bachelor/Diploma); or successful completion of the Administrative Specialist Course II (Angestelltenlehrgang II); or qualification for the higher intermediate civil service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt).
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in leadership and management positions
- At least 3 years of professional experience in public administration or at the municipal level (if applying with a Health Management degree)
- Professional experience in administrative workflows and legal implementation
- Experience in personnel planning and resource allocation
- Proven experience in public relations and committee work

- Proof of measles immunity/vaccination required; position is based in Helmstedt; full-time or part-time suitable; must be eligible for German public service pay scale (TVöD E12).
