Job Summary

As a Civil Engineer for the Hessian State Construction and Real Estate Management (LBIH), you will be a key player in the Federal Construction department, overseeing significant public infrastructure projects such as military barracks and federal court facilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing civil engineering and transport infrastructure projects through all HOAI service phases. This includes coordinating external engineering firms, ensuring compliance with public procurement laws, and maintaining strict control over budgets and timelines. You will be responsible for the final acceptance and handover of completed works to end-users. Required Skills

Education

  • Proven track record in coordinating external engineering offices and managing infrastructure projects
  • Experience in cost control and schedule monitoring for construction projects

  • Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to undertake occasional business trips within the branch's jurisdiction using pool vehicles. Must be able to work at designated locations in Kassel, Schwalmstadt, Bad Hersfeld, or Fritzlar.
