Job Summary
As the IT Department Lead, you will take on both technical and organizational responsibility for the IT infrastructure of a local municipality. You will lead a dedicated team of three, overseeing the day-to-day operations of digital systems while steering strategic IT projects. Your daily activities will include managing 1st level support, administering servers and network security, and handling the procurement of hardware and software. This role is unique as it involves building and modernizing a newly independent IT department, allowing you to actively shape its future structure. You will also manage external service providers and oversee the IT budget. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Digital Management, Public Management, or a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist/System Administrator.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT systems administration or as a specialist in computer science
- Several years of professional experience required if applying with a vocational qualification
- Experience in public administration is preferred
- Experience in personnel management and leadership is an advantage
- Proven experience in IT-related project implementation and infrastructure modernization
