Job Summary

This role calls for an experienced Project Manager to lead international engineering projects, focusing on new construction and modifications within complex plant engineering environments. You will take full responsibility for the project lifecycle, spanning engineering design, procurement, assembly, commissioning, and final documentation. A critical aspect involves planning, directing, and supervising work outsourced to external contractors. Furthermore, you will ensure long-term operational excellence by developing and adapting comprehensive maintenance and upkeep concepts, including defining intervals, resources, safety protocols, and spare parts strategies. The position offers significant international exposure, requiring 25-50% business travel, especially to Eastern European regions, making it ideal for a technically skilled leader seeking a dynamic, global challenge within a secure, future-oriented industry.

Required Skills

Education

Engineer (University of Applied Sciences) or Higher Technical College Technician in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Specialized courses in Communication, Project Management, and Business Administration fundamentals.

Experience

  • Leading projects or sub-projects for new construction and modifications in plant engineering
  • Responsibility for the full lifecycle including engineering, procurement, assembly, and commissioning
  • Planning, leading, and monitoring externally contracted work
  • Conducting diagnostics on plants and machinery, including recording damage patterns
