Job Summary

This role involves the design, development, and initial commissioning of project-specific test systems for high-tech aerospace and defense applications, including radar, electronic warfare, and avionics systems. Working within a 25-person team for HENSOLDT in Ulm, you will translate complex system requirements into 19-inch rack designs, define interface adaptations, and select appropriate measurement equipment. The daily work includes the integration of prototypes, creating technical documentation, and performing redesigns for obsolescence management. You will also provide critical support to production users for troubleshooting and error analysis. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in hardware development or test system engineering
  • Proven experience in measurement technology is required
  • Experience in hardware configuration, version control, and change management is preferred
  • Professional background in aerospace or defense sectors specifically with radar or avionics systems is beneficial
