Job Summary

As an HPC Application Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing high-performance computing (HPC) environments by analyzing user codes and providing guidelines for performance enhancement. Your daily activities will involve benchmarking time-to-solution and energy-to-solution metrics, optimizing operational parameters to improve energy efficiency, and assessing performance portability across different architectures. You will act as a technical consultant for scientists, guiding them through the optimization process and documenting best practices for the community. The role is ideal for those who enjoy the intersection of cutting-edge hardware and scientific research. This position is particularly attractive due to its focus on sustainability in computing, offering a flexible working model with up to 60% mobile work, and the stability of a public service contract at a world-class supercomputing center. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment in an international environment that values professional development and work-life balance.
