Job Summary

As a Data Platform Engineer for the European AI Factory HammerHAI, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining high-performance software and data environments. Your daily responsibilities include building the software stack for AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) hardware, supporting platform development for AI data sets and models, and maintaining relationships with technology providers across the European AI ecosystem. This role is highly collaborative, involving work with international partners on novel R&D projects in both academic and private sectors. Required Skills

Education

PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Scientific Computing; or a Bachelor’s degree with significant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in applied software development, platform engineering, or deployment
  • 2+ years of experience required if holding a Bachelor's degree; otherwise Master's or PhD level expertise
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining end-to-end AI/ML software stacks on HPC or cloud environments
  • Experience in developing software and data environments for AI and data analytics use cases
  • Experience with data governance, access control, and regulatory compliance in a European context
