Job Summary
This role involves taking responsibility for the technical design, planning, and operation of central communication and database systems for a major public transport provider in Cologne. As a Database Manager and Exchange Administrator, you will be the technical lead for the Microsoft 365 Exchange environment, ensuring stable operations and driving the evolution of server systems, storage networks, and connected technical services. Your day-to-day will involve defining technical requirements, monitoring database readiness, and contributing to IT security concepts. You will also manage IT infrastructure and migration projects, coordinating between internal teams and external service providers. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Electrical Engineering; alternatively, a completed IT vocational training with extensive specialized knowledge in the field.
Experience
- Deep professional experience in information processing with a specific focus on Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online
- Experience in planning, designing, and managing technical communication and database systems
- Proven track record in IT infrastructure projects and migration processes
- Experience in managing external service providers and coordinating technical sub-projects
- Professional experience in maintaining server operating systems and storage networks

Additional
- Willingness to perform weekend shifts and on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft) is required. Must be able to work on-site at the headquarters in Cologne.
