Job Summary

As the AI Engineering & Automation Lead at Sanacorp, one of Germany's largest pharmaceutical wholesalers, you will play a pivotal role in the company's new AI initiative. Operating within the Digital Unit, you will act as a 'Swiss Army Knife' for pragmatic Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), working closely with the AI Value Creation Lead to validate business hypotheses through rapid prototyping. Your day-to-day involves assessing the technical feasibility of AI use cases, resolving data silo issues, and developing proof-of-concepts using SQL, APIs, and cloud integrations. This role is unique because it combines high-level architectural strategy with hands-on, fast-paced development, focusing on speed and ROI rather than immediate perfection. You will bridge the gap between initial ideas and scalable IT solutions, ensuring that validated prototypes are successfully handed over to internal development teams for full-scale implementation. It is an ideal position for a proactive engineer who enjoys seeing their technical solutions drive measurable efficiency in a traditional industry undergoing digital transformation.
