Job Summary
The Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) is seeking a PhD Student to join the Proteomics research group in Dortmund. In this role, you will be part of the I-CHECK-HEART consortium, focusing on developing methods to quantify low-concentration proteins in human blood plasma. Your daily responsibilities include planning and executing proteomics analyses, specifically utilizing targeted LC-MS/MS methods for interleukin detection. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement of existing procedures, data visualization, and meticulous laboratory documentation. This position is ideal for researchers who enjoy collaborative environments, as you will work closely with project partners and present findings at international conferences. The role offers a 65% part-time contract for 3.5 years, providing a structured doctoral education within the prestigious Leibniz Association. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent in a natural science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or related qualifications (e.g., Pharmacy, Food Technology).
Experience
- Professional experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within bioanalytics
- Experience in the development of targeted LC-MS/MS methods is highly desirable
- Experience in data analysis and visualization of scientific results
- Proven ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary project partners

- Willingness to undertake business travel is required. The position is a 65% part-time role fixed for 3.5 years under the WissZeitVG. Candidates must be available for the Dortmund location.
