Job Summary

This role involves supporting the executive management of Sachsenforst, Saxony's largest forestry employer, in the strategic and operational planning of state forest resources. As a Production Planning Officer, you will be responsible for contributing to the creation of business plans, annual reports, and target agreements for various forest districts and specialized stations. Your day-to-day activities will include developing medium-term forecasts, calculating labor and financial requirements, and maintaining essential master data and cost accounting systems. You will also play a key role in operational controlling and the continuous improvement of planning instruments. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Public Administration, Public Law, Business Administration, or a comparable field; or completed career training for the second level of civil service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsebene) in Forestry or General Administration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in forestry management or business administration
  • Experience in creating business plans and annual reports
  • Practical experience with IT applications such as MS Dynamics 365 or specialized forestry software
  • Experience in operational controlling and business analysis
  • Experience in public administration or state-level forestry services

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Occasional work at the Pirna OT Graupa location is necessary. A valid hunting license is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must be eligible for German public service pay scales (TV-L E11 or Besoldungsgruppe A10/A11).
