Job Summary
This role involves working on significant public construction projects within the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region for the Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb NRW (BLB NRW). As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning electrical engineering services according to HOAI standards, conducting feasibility studies, and managing the procurement and billing of construction services. A key focus of the position is the steering and quality control of external engineering firms and contractors to ensure projects meet the state's climate neutrality goals by 2030. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of flexibility, offering a 60% mobile work policy and a flexitime window from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, or a related field; OR a qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the real estate or construction industry
- Experience in planning and steering external engineering offices and contractors
- Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in an engineering-level capacity required if applying with a Technician or Master Craftsman qualification
- Experience in interdisciplinary construction project teams

- Valid driver's license for operating service vehicles is required. Must be able to pass security or background checks inherent to public sector real estate. Location-based in Bielefeld with up to 60% remote work capability within Germany.
