Job Summary
As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will join a collaborative 10-person design team at a modern family-owned measurement technology company. Your day-to-day role involves developing circuit designs and PCB layouts using professional tools like Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of electronic and electromechanical assemblies, from component selection and EMC-compliant design to systematic analysis using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. This position is unique as it is a succession role due to retirement, offering a stable environment where you can bring technical ideas to life in a practical, production-oriented setting. You will coordinate closely with production, quality management, and external certification bodies to ensure designs are series-ready and compliant with international standards. The role offers high practical involvement, moving beyond screen-based design to physical testing and implementation in a company that values long-term stability and professional development.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering or qualification as a State-Certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker).
Experience
- Professional experience in circuit development and simulation for both analog and digital systems
- Proven experience in hardware design for embedded systems
- Experience in evaluating components and assemblies according to EMC requirements and safety standards
- Experience in systematic error analysis and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies
- Experience in technical documentation and managing bill of materials (BOM) within ERP/PDM systems
