Job Summary

As a Systems Specialist for File Transfer Products, you will play a critical role in one of Europe’s largest banking IT service providers. You will be responsible for the architectural planning, design, and operation of mission-critical Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions, with a specific focus on the Mainframe z/OS platform. Your daily activities will include managing the Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard (EBICS), optimizing cross-system middleware landscapes, and leading technical work packages within projects. You will also coordinate incident, problem, and change management processes while providing second and third-level support. This position is unique for its high impact on the data exchange infrastructure of the Sparkassen Finance Group, offering the opportunity to work in a large-scale environment across sites in Hannover, Münster, or Frankfurt. The role combines technical deep-dives with collaborative coordination involving external service providers and third-party clients, all within a stable, benefit-rich banking IT environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or a comparable vocational training qualification.

Experience

  • Typically 6 or more years of professional experience in IT systems or mainframe environments
  • Extensive experience in the administration and operation of z/OS-based applications
  • Proven track record in managing critical file transfer solutions and middleware
  • Experience in technical project management and responsibility for work packages
  • Professional experience in quality assurance and high-level technical support (Second/Last Level)
