Job Summary
As a Mainframe Systems Programmer, you will join one of Europe's largest banking IT service providers to drive digitalization within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Operating from Hannover or Münster, your daily responsibilities include the planning, integration, administration, and last-level support for the z/OS operating system and IBM's GDPS high-availability solutions. You will take ownership of specific z/OS products, analyze complex error situations, and coordinate with software manufacturers for bug tracking. Beyond technical maintenance, you will act as a consultant for internal departments and take on project leadership roles. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Information Technology or vocational training specializing in System Integration, or a comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in z/OS systems programming and GDPS components
- Extensive practical experience with standard mainframe procedures such as SMP/E
- Proven experience in technical project management or specialized leadership roles
- Professional experience in error analysis, documentation, and vendor management
- Background in IT systems integration within a large-scale enterprise environment

- Willingness and ability to participate in on-call rotations and perform work assignments outside of standard business hours. Position is based in Hannover or Münster.
