This role involves the comprehensive testing and commissioning of braking systems within the rail vehicle technology sector in Erlangen. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing type and routine tests, creating technical specifications for vehicle inspections, and managing the assembly and commissioning of test setups. Your daily activities will include conducting system tests in laboratory environments, documenting results, and handling warranty cases through field service assignments. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, a technical vocational training with further qualification as a Technician.

Experience

  • Experience in planning and conducting type and routine testing for rail vehicles
  • Experience in creating technical specifications and test documentation
  • Practical experience in control technology such as SIBAS or SIMATIC is preferred
  • Experience in field service and handling technical warranty cases
