Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive testing and commissioning of braking systems within the rail vehicle technology sector in Erlangen. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing type and routine tests, creating technical specifications for vehicle inspections, and managing the assembly and commissioning of test setups. Your daily activities will include conducting system tests in laboratory environments, documenting results, and handling warranty cases through field service assignments. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a mix of theoretical specification work and hands-on technical execution. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, a technical vocational training with further qualification as a Technician.
Experience
- Professional experience with electro-pneumatic systems required
- Experience in planning and conducting type and routine testing for rail vehicles
- Experience in creating technical specifications and test documentation
- Practical experience in control technology such as SIBAS or SIMATIC is preferred
- Experience in field service and handling technical warranty cases

- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%), including short-term assignments; Permanent residency or valid work permit for Germany is implied for this permanent local position.
