Job Summary

As a Research Associate at the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research (DITF), you will join Europe's largest textile research facility within the Competence Center for Textile Chemistry, Application & Environmental Technologies. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the research and development of materials and processes for barrier textiles, specifically for construction and geotextile applications. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including applying for research grants, managing industrial orders, and conducting experiments in both laboratory and technical center settings. This role is highly collaborative, requiring coordination with suppliers, customers, and project partners. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Process Engineering, Material Sciences, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific project management and industrial contract processing
  • Experience in the research and development of materials and processes for construction or geotextiles
  • Practical experience in organizing and conducting laboratory and technical center trials
  • Experience in textile and materials engineering is advantageous
  • Proven ability to work independently in a structured and goal-oriented manner
