Job Summary

This part-time (75%) research position at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) offers a unique opportunity to conduct high-level scientific research within the Hamburg Center for Health Economics. The successful candidate will focus on health economic issues, specifically regarding mental health care, cost-effectiveness analyses, and economic evaluations using diverse datasets such as insurance data and cohort studies. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing complex health economic queries, publishing findings in international peer-reviewed journals, and presenting research at global conferences. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent) with at least a 'good' grade in Health Economics, Economics, Econometrics, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in health economics, economics, or statistics research
  • Experience in the application of statistical methods such as regression analysis
  • Proven track record of high academic achievement (top of class)
  • Initial practical experience in applying econometric or epidemiological methods is ideal
  • Experience in presenting scientific results at conferences

  • Proof of full immunization against the measles virus is required before starting employment. The position is part-time (75% of standard weekly hours) and limited to a 3-year fixed-term contract under the WissZeitVG.
