Job Summary

The Waterways and Shipping Administration of the Federal Government is seeking a dedicated IT System and Application Support Specialist to join their team in Stralsund. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of IT workstations by providing application support and managing the ticket system. Your responsibilities will include setting up new PCs, operating and administering both physical and virtual servers, and managing network infrastructure, including proxy, firewall, and antivirus systems, as well as data backup. This position offers an opportunity to work within a large, stable federal network, contributing to the vital functions of waterways and shipping in the Baltic Sea region. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and demonstrate strong technical skills in Microsoft server and client operating systems, central IT services, and virtualization.
