Job Summary

As a Junior Planning Engineer at DB Engineering & Consulting, you will play a vital role in designing the future of railway infrastructure. Based in Berlin, your daily responsibilities include performing technical planning services such as creating drawings, calculations, and performance specifications for the construction and renovation of control and signaling systems. You will work on diverse projects involving electronic and digital interlocking systems (ESTW/DSTW), train protection systems like ETCS and PZB, and level crossing safety installations. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor/Master) in Control and Signaling Technology, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience or internships in the field of control and signaling technology (LST) is preferred.
  • Experience with technical planning phases (preliminary, design, and execution planning).
  • Familiarity with technical terminology such as ESTW, ETCS, or PT1.
  • Proven ability to work with IT systems and engineering software.
