Job Summary

As an IT Administrator for DB InfraGO AG in Frankfurt, you will play a critical role in ensuring the digital infrastructure for Germany's rail mobility remains secure and available. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve configuring and operating IT infrastructure, monitoring system components, and classifying alerts to maintain platform stability. You will be the first line of defense in incident management, performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting based on system reports or vulnerability scans. Beyond maintenance, you will provide technical expertise to architects and project managers during the onboarding of new locations. This role is unique for its direct impact on large-scale infrastructure and logistics, offering the stability of a major national employer combined with the technical challenge of managing diverse network and server environments. The position includes participation in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 operational readiness.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree in Computer Science or a comparable educational background with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the administration of IT systems
  • Practical experience in managing firewalls, network components, and server hardware from major vendors
  • Experience in monitoring system performance and performing technical troubleshooting
  • Professional experience with Linux distributions and virtualization technologies
  • Experience in storage management and data infrastructure
