Job Summary
As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and implementation of automation solutions. Your daily responsibilities include programming and developing visualizations using WinCC and iFIX, as well as creating PLC software for Siemens SIMATIC S7 and TIA Portal, including safety controls. You will play a critical role in plant networking using Ethernet, Profinet, and Profibus protocols. Beyond coding, you will handle the commissioning of machinery at customer sites, perform detailed error analyses, and provide remote maintenance support. This role offers a high level of variety, involving project planning, documentation, and training both customers and colleagues. It is an attractive position for technical specialists looking for a permanent contract with flat hierarchies and the opportunity to work on complex industrial automation projects from conception through to commissioning.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University Degree or Technician/Master Craftsman qualification in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
Experience
- Several years of programming experience with controllers such as TIA Portal or SIMATIC S7 is desirable
- Professional experience in automation technology or mechanical engineering
- Experience in commissioning machinery and conducting error analysis
- Experience in project planning and processing of automation orders
- Experience in providing customer service and remote maintenance support
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning and customer training; ability to perform remote maintenance.
