Job Summary
This role involves the technical configuration and testing of specialized warning systems for emergency vehicles, such as fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars. Based in Dinslaken, you will be responsible for the software configuration of systems according to individual customer requirements, interpreting logs, and building test setups to analyze configuration errors. Day-to-day tasks include working with circuit diagrams, wiring, and identifying hardware-software dependencies. You will work closely with a team to manage projects, document results, and occasionally provide 2nd-level support to customers regarding prototype builds. The position is ideal for those with a background in automotive electronics or similar fields who enjoy a mix of hands-on electrical work and PC-based configuration. The role offers a secure, permanent contract with 30 days of vacation and a modern workspace within a market-leading European group.
Required Skills
Education
Qualified Electronics Technician (Elektrotechniker) or equivalent vocational training in electrical engineering or device technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in device and systems engineering, specifically within automotive, HiFi, sound, or lighting sectors
- Practical experience in interpreting circuit diagrams and handling electrical wiring
- Demonstrated experience in software configuration and troubleshooting technical systems
- Experience in building test environments and analyzing technical logs
- Experience in customer support or prototype development is preferred
