As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity of a precision medicine company. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting, as well as preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) standards. You will work closely with the commercial management team to maintain transparent financial structures, handle VAT returns, and coordinate with tax advisors and authorities. Required Skills
Education
Commercial training (e.g., Tax Assistant, Industrial Clerk, or equivalent) with an additional qualification in accounting.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally within a medium-sized company (Mittelstand)
- Professional experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB
- Proven experience in managing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger accounts
- Demonstrated experience using DATEV or equivalent accounting software and MS Office systems
