Job Summary

This leadership role at Cologne Bonn Airport involves overseeing the commercial and balancing aspects of the airport's power grid operations. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing grid utilization contracts, validating measurement data for network balancing, and ensuring compliance with Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) regulations. Your daily tasks include managing metering point operations, processing billing for grid usage, and coordinating with energy suppliers and external service providers. Beyond technical oversight, you will lead and qualify your team, manage budgets, and handle complex energy management reporting, including CHP (KWK) and energy law levies. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure of a major international airport within a stable public service (TVöD) framework. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Energy Management; specialized further training in grid operations and energy law.

Experience

  • Many years of relevant professional experience in a responsible and qualified position within the energy or grid sector
  • Extensive experience in power grid operation, metering, and energy management
  • Proven experience with administrative software solutions for remote meter reading and grid billing
  • Leadership experience in planning, steering, and monitoring team tasks
  • Experience in handling regulatory requirements from the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA)
