The Hanseatic City of Lüneburg is seeking a dedicated professional to lead and establish its newly formed Central Procurement Office. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building a team of up to five members and transforming the department into a high-quality service provider for the city's various administrative units. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing complex procurement procedures, navigating intricate legal frameworks, and coordinating with internal departments as well as external planning and engineering firms. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Law (Second State Examination/Volljurist), Administration, Economics, or a technical Master's degree in a relevant field.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in public administration or a procurement office
  • Proven leadership experience and competence in motivating teams is preferred
  • Experience in handling complex legal matters and multi-layered administrative tasks
  • Professional experience in communicating with diverse stakeholders including engineering firms and service providers

  • The position is available as either a civil servant (Beamtenverhältnis up to A 13 Nds. BesG) or a regular employee (up to EG 13 TVöD). Part-time work is possible by arrangement. Location is based in Lüneburg city center.
