Job Summary

As a Medical Physicist focusing on medical software, you will play a vital role in cancer treatment by ensuring the stable integration and continuous development of clinical systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine clinical duties such as quality assurance, dosimetry, and treatment planning, alongside specialized software tasks. You will coordinate software upgrades, troubleshoot system issues, and develop custom scripts and SQL queries to optimize clinical workflows. This role is unique because it combines high-level physics with medical informatics, allowing you to bridge the gap between technical software solutions and patient care. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, collaborating with software vendors to propose enhancements and training other teams on system usage. The position offers a meaningful career path in particle therapy, providing the opportunity to directly impact patient safety and treatment efficacy within a permanent, full-time framework.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or PhD in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Informatics, or a similar field. Medical Physics certification is advantageous but not essential.

Experience

  • Initial clinical experience in Medical Physics required
  • Experience in particle therapy and treatment planning is highly advantageous
  • Professional experience in medical software integration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and validating scripts and SQL queries
  • Experience in coordinating software upgrades and vendor communication
