Job Summary
As a key member of the encore | DB internal startup team in Berlin, you will actively shape the circular economy by developing sustainable battery storage systems. Your daily responsibilities include supporting system development, integrating battery storage into customer electrical distribution systems, and designing comprehensive planning for these integrations. You will be responsible for creating technical documentation, including operating manuals, assembly instructions, and commissioning guides. Additionally, you will build and manage a product testing environment to configure hardware and software components based on specific battery modules. This role is unique as it combines the agility of a startup environment with the stability and resources of the Deutsche Bahn Group, offering a mission-driven career focused on the energy transition and renewable energy solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Degree as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Electrical Engineering, or a University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Alternative Energy Systems, or Renewable Energies.
Experience
- Professional experience in the planning of switchgear and plant construction
- Practical experience working with energy or battery management systems and inverters
- Experience in creating test plans according to DIN VDE 0100-600 is preferred
- Proven ability to work independently and within an agile, team-oriented environment
Languages
Additional
- Qualified Electrician (Elektrofachkraft) status according to VDE 0105 is desired. The position is based in Berlin and requires the ability to work in an agile startup environment within a corporate structure.
