Job Summary
As a Network Infrastructure Expert, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of complex LAN and WLAN environments. Your daily activities will involve consulting with clients on sophisticated technical solutions, planning and implementing network infrastructures, and providing high-level operational support. You will serve as a key technical resource for 3rd level support, handling incident and problem management by analyzing errors on reference systems. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with major manufacturers like Cisco Systems and Fortinet, and support the sales team during pre-sales activities. This role is particularly attractive for those who enjoy a mix of strategic planning and hands-on technical troubleshooting. Based in the Karlsruhe area with remote flexibility, you will play a vital role in supporting critical infrastructure operations for TransnetBW, making this a high-impact position within a growing telecommunications and IT consultancy.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical degree (University or University of Applied Sciences) or a comparable vocational training qualification. Cisco and Fortinet certifications are advantageous.
Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of Network (LAN/WLAN) and SDN (Software-Defined Networking)
- Professional experience in planning and implementing complex network infrastructures
- Extensive experience with Cisco Systems products and solutions
- Experience in 3rd level support and incident/problem management processes
- Experience in technical consulting or pre-sales environments
