Job Summary

As a Junior Data Scientist at DRV Bund IT, you will play a pivotal role in securing the German pension system by developing and maintaining advanced AI and machine learning applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems, optimizing indexing strategies, and implementing complex ML models like Random Forest and Gradient Boosting. You will work within a cross-functional agile team to visualize large datasets, detect data drifts, and maintain MLOps and DevOps processes. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in IT, or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific certification), or completed vocational training in IT with several years of practical experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in developing Machine Learning methods and modeling complex automated AI systems
  • At least 1 year of specific experience in the role of a Data Scientist
  • Practical experience in at least one AI reference project
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Proven experience in selecting and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) for domain-specific use cases
