Job Summary
This high-level leadership role involves directing the 'Anti-Violence and Women in a Healthy and Social City' division for the Berlin Senate. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic measures and policy frameworks focused on anti-violence work, social integration, and public safety for women. Key responsibilities include managing the 'Shelters for Women Affected by Violence' project, coordinating aid for victims of human trafficking and sexual violence, and overseeing the implementation of the Prostitution Protection Act. Day-to-day, you will lead a dedicated team, represent the division in state, federal, and EU-level committees, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to promote gender equality. This position is unique for its direct impact on human rights and social justice within Berlin's public administration. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree, University Diploma, or Magister Artium in Political Science, Social Work, Sociology, Social Sciences, Islamic Studies, Cultural/Humanities/Social Sciences, Psychology, or Law (Second State Examination/Fully Qualified Lawyer).
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional or administrative experience, preferably in women's policy, equality, or anti-violence work
- Several years of leadership experience or experience leading small to medium-sized working groups
- Experience in representing organizational interests at state, federal, or EU levels

- The position is initially offered as a leadership-on-probation role (Führung auf Probe). Applicants with foreign degrees must provide proof of equivalence via the ZAB. Must be available for a structured handover period starting June 1, 2026, prior to the official start date of February 1, 2027.
