This role is situated within the 'IT Services of the Federal Election Office' (C25), where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth digital operation of federal and European elections. Day-to-day, you will manage the technical development of election systems, handle application administration—including installation, configuration, and deployment across development and test environments—and coordinate release management processes. You will act as a bridge between functional departments and IT service providers, defining operational requirements and ensuring software quality through structured testing and defect management. This position is particularly attractive due to its high societal impact, offering a secure permanent contract under the TVöD public service pay scale (with potential IT allowances up to €1,500 monthly). Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in the IT sector following graduation.
  • Practical experience in IT management according to ITIL frameworks (specifically Incident, Problem, and Release Management).
  • Practical experience working within IT projects.
  • Professional experience in the quality assurance of software products and defect management is preferred.
  • Experience or demonstrable knowledge in information security.
