This role is situated within the 'Cross-sectional and Control Tasks' unit for the Census project at the Federal Statistical Office. You will be responsible for independently developing data protection concepts in German and coordinating their technical implementation with various stakeholders. Your day-to-day involves managing GDPR inquiries, evaluating technical solutions for data protection compliance, and performing risk analyses. You will work closely with sub-project leads to provide expert advice and derive concrete security measures. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of responsibility in a mission-critical public project, offering a competitive salary (E13 TVöD) plus a monthly allowance of up to €1,500. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master / University Diploma / Magister) in a STEM field (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, or Technology).

Experience

  • Professional experience in conducting threshold analyses and data protection impact assessments
  • Professional experience in deriving and implementing data protection measures
  • Practical experience in process modeling and documenting complex content
  • Deep knowledge of data protection management according to GDPR/EU-GDPR
  • Basic knowledge of information security methods and instruments (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI-Standards)
