Job Summary
This role at the Lower Saxony State Department for Water Management, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN) in Braunschweig focuses on planning and constructing hydraulic engineering facilities and water bodies. As a Civil Engineer or Environmental Planner, you will lead projects in river development and flood protection, managing all phases of the HOAI. Your daily tasks include planning outdoor facilities, overseeing tendering and awarding of contracts, and conducting surveying services. You will also handle quality management and project budget administration using CAD and GIS tools. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or FH) in Civil Engineering (focus on Hydraulic Engineering/Water Management), Landscape Management, Landscape Ecology, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the planning and construction of outdoor facilities for environmental and ecological projects.
- Extensive experience in tendering, awarding, and billing for planning and construction services.
- In-depth experience in environmental planning, including landscape planning (LBP) and FFH compatibility assessments.
- Proven experience in commercial administration and business management within a technical context.

- Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to drive a service vehicle are required. Physical fitness for field work in rough terrain is necessary. Position is located in Braunschweig.
