Job Summary

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of complex network infrastructures. Your day-to-day activities involve managing medium to large-scale IT projects independently, focusing on the deployment and operational support of sophisticated network and firewall systems tailored to specific client needs. You will play a critical role in incident and problem management, troubleshooting technical issues and acting as a primary interface to third-level manufacturer support. This position offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity to work on high-end Cisco and Fortinet technologies. The role is unique for its flexibility, offering a hybrid work model between remote work and locations in Backnang or Karlsruhe, and includes a long-term perspective with a potential permanent takeover after the initial 18-month contract. Candidates must be prepared to participate in on-call rotations to ensure infrastructure reliability.
