This critical role within an energy provider focuses on the construction, installation, and maintenance of both copper and fiber optic networks, ensuring robust telecommunications infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include telecommunications cable installation, meticulous fiber optic splicing, measuring, patching, and establishing network connections within buildings. The technician will oversee transmission and fiber optic facilities, coordinate necessary maintenance, and manage fault resolution. A key aspect of the job is the independent handling of construction sites, including final inspection and comprehensive documentation. Candidates should be State-certified Technicians or Master Craftsmen in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering, or possess comparable professional experience. Expertise in transmission and network technology, coupled with familiarity with broadband expansion regulations, is essential.
