Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position within the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth, and Family offers a unique opportunity to support technical education in the field of automotive electrical and electronic systems. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preparation of specialized laboratory facilities, learning tools, and IT equipment. Your day-to-day work involves setting up technical experiments for teaching sequences, ensuring compliance with safety assessments, and managing the procurement of spare parts and consumables. You will work closely with teaching staff to develop and test new educational systems, including robotics and automation technology. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfte/r Techniker/in) specializing in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering; alternatively, completed vocational training with equivalent skills and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning laboratory facilities and IT equipment
- Experience in the setup and preparation of educational learning carriers and technical environments
- Practical experience in PLC-based automation, robotics, and pneumatic systems
- Experience in metalworking, assembly, and connection technologies
- Demonstrated experience in organizational management and service-oriented communication

Additional
