Job Summary

As a Bioprocess Systems Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the professional commissioning and acceptance of bioprocess systems within the highly regulated pharmaceutical and biotechnology environments. Your daily activities will include verifying installations, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and ensuring all process steps are documented according to strict GMP standards. You will work both in-house and at supplier or customer sites to resolve technical issues and finalize system handovers. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams and is comfortable with occasional travel. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience and further training.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of bioprocess systems or equipment within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
  • Proven experience in conducting Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) or comparable plant acceptance procedures
  • Practical experience working within regulated environments following GMP and GDP guidelines
  • Experience in handling technical documentation and understanding qualification and validation processes

  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips to supplier and customer locations is required. Must be able to work in Kassel, Hesse.
