Job Summary

As an IT Systems Engineer for the City of Stuttgart, you will be a key player in the Office for Digitalization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT). Your primary responsibility is the technical implementation, installation planning, and operation of the infrastructure supporting the city's electronic records (E-Akte) platform. You will ensure the stability and security of the Windows-based server environment, coordinating closely with internal teams and external service providers to integrate document management systems with central services like backups, directory services, and databases. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field; alternatively, a completed vocational IT training (Qualified IT Specialist) with relevant work experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Windows server administration and system integration
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience required if applying with a vocational IT qualification instead of a degree
  • Experience in implementing and integrating complex applications such as Document Management Systems (DMS)
  • Experience in the public sector or complex administrative structures is preferred
