Job Summary

As a Data Engineer in the retail sector, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, construction, and optimization of batch data pipelines to support reporting and tool-based use cases. Your daily activities will involve developing production-ready transformations using Spark SQL and Python, managing large datasets, and maintaining sophisticated data models including facts, dimensions, and aggregates. A core part of the role is ensuring data integrity by implementing quality checks and reconciliation logic to handle edge cases like late-arriving data and duplicates. You will act as a bridge between technical infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. This position offers a modern work environment with 2-3 days of home office flexibility, 30 days of vacation, and an attractive salary package within a 12-month project-based fixed-term contract starting in April 2026.
