Job Summary
The Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, one of Germany's most prestigious film schools, is seeking an IT Specialist to manage and evolve their cutting-edge Virtual Production (VP) and Extended Reality (XR) infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical supervision of LED walls, motion capture systems, and camera tracking technologies like Ncam. You will act as a technical consultant for students and faculty, helping them navigate complex VP, XR, and VFX pipelines while ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of high-end workstations and studio setups. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science (Informatiker) or a related technical field in Film/Media technology
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a technical role within film production, animation, games, VFX, or a research/university context
- Extensive technical experience with LED walls, motion capture, and camera tracking systems
- Proven proficiency in using Unreal Engine for real-time filmmaking and XR applications
- Practical experience with VFX workflows and Digital Content Creation (DCC) tools
- Experience in a collaborative environment working with students or diverse teams
