This role involves supporting the IT operations for the Neukölln District Administration in Berlin, ensuring functional hardware and software systems for over 2,000 employees across office and remote settings. As an IT Administrator, you will act as a vital bridge between administrative processes and technical support, handling IT procurement, contract management, and asset tracking. You will provide essential first-level support to users while assisting 2nd and 3rd level specialists with commercial tasks, budgeting, and customer consulting. This position is ideal for an administrative professional with a strong affinity for technology who enjoys a mix of desk-based coordination and hands-on technical tasks. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Management Assistant for IT Systems, Digitalization Management, or Office Management; or a completed Administrative Course I (VL I); or equivalent commercial/legal vocational training (e.g., Industrial Clerk, Legal Assistant).
Experience
- Professional experience in administrative or commercial roles within an IT context
- Experience in managing IT assets and procurement processes
- Proven track record in customer service or first-level technical support
- Experience working with standard office hardware and software systems
- Readiness to mentor junior staff, trainees, or interns

- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy IT equipment (PCs, printers, network components). Willingness to work outside standard office hours for maintenance or emergencies. Ability to work across various district locations, some of which may only be accessible via stairs.
