Job Summary

This role involves leading the IT Organization group and serving as the Deputy Head of the Information Technology department for the Neukölln District Office in Berlin. As the designated Information Security Officer (CISO), the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing IT governance, managing IT operations, and ensuring compliance with information security standards. The position requires a balance of leadership and technical oversight within a public administration setting. You will guide junior staff and interns while managing critical IT infrastructure projects. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Economics and Law, or completion of Administrative Training II (Verwaltungslehrgang II). Must hold a valid certificate as an IT Security Officer (ITSiBe) or Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) according to ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz.

Experience

  • Professional experience in operating information and communication technology, specifically within IT organization and management in the State of Berlin
  • Leadership experience at management level 4 (according to RdSchr. IV Nr. 27/2019)
  • Specific professional experience serving in the function of an Information Security Officer (CISO)
  • Experience in guiding junior staff, trainees, or dual-study students
