Job Summary
As a Patent Attorney specializing in Physics at one of Europe's most prestigious intellectual property firms, you will provide comprehensive legal and technical counsel to a diverse client base. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve drafting, filing, and prosecuting national and international patent applications, as well as representing clients before the European Patent Office (EPO) and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). You will analyze complex technical invention disclosures, conduct patent searches, and provide expert legal opinions on infringement and validity. Beyond individual casework, you will play a leadership role by supervising junior staff and patent engineers. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Physics or Information Technology; Qualification as a German Patent Attorney and/or European Patent Attorney.
Experience
- Professional experience as a qualified representative before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and/or the European Patent Office
- Substantial experience in the fields of Physics or Information Technology
- Proven experience in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications at national and international levels
- Initial professional experience handling patent infringement cases
- Experience in supervising junior professionals or patent engineers

- Must be a registered representative before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) and/or the European Patent Office (EPO). Position is full-time and permanent, based in Frankfurt.
