Job Summary

This role is based at the Brokdorf facility and involves the critical oversight of security and maintenance operations for a nuclear waste storage site. As a Master Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring operational processes, resolving technical malfunctions in security systems, and acting as a designated expert for emergency services according to fire service regulations. Day-to-day tasks include managing incident reports, coordinating first aid measures, and ensuring that external security services comply with contractual and site-specific regulations. You will also take on additional responsibilities such as safety officer duties and preparation of operational documentation. Required Skills

Education

Master Craftsman (Meister) or State-Certified Technician (Techniker) in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communication/IT, or Mechatronics). Must be willing to acquire specialized expertise according to the Interim Storage Expert Guideline (Fachkunderichtlinie Zwischenlager).

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical trade, specifically in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics fields
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting security and safety-related technical equipment
  • Experience in emergency response coordination and working with external emergency services
  • Experience in shift work environments (24/7 rotation)
  • Experience in the nuclear or high-security utility sector is implied

Additional

  • Willingness to work 24/7 rotating shifts is mandatory. Forklift and crane operator licenses are preferred. Must meet requirements for 'Expert Person' according to Fire Service Regulation 500. Location: Brokdorf, Germany.
