Job Summary
This role involves taking a lead position in the design, development, and qualification (D3Q) of hardware for advanced weapon systems, including the Eurofighter, FCAS, and Eurodrone. Based in Manching, you will serve as the Equipment Design Responsible, focusing on hardware architecture for Flight Control Systems (FCS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS). Your daily activities will include managing technical requirements, overseeing supplier performance, and ensuring strict compliance with aerospace standards like DO-254. You will act as a vital link between internal departments, international suppliers, and certification authorities. Required Skills
Education
University (Master) degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in aerospace hardware development or related fields
- Extensive experience in Hardware DAL A development following DO-254 and AMC 20-152A standards
- Proven track record in technical supplier management and milestone coordination
- Professional experience in equipment qualification, certification, and airworthiness processes
- Hands-on experience with hardware design verification and review of PCB schematics

- Willingness to travel for business is required. Position involves working on defense projects (Eurofighter, FCAS, Eurodrone) which may require specific security clearances. Location is in Manching (Ingolstadt area) with mobile work options available.
