Job Summary

The Office for Digitalization and IT is seeking a System and Network Administrator to manage a modern infrastructure supporting approximately 3,000 workstations. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the municipal data network, including planning, installation, and maintenance of active components. Your daily tasks involve configuring network hardware, managing firmware upgrades, monitoring network health via specialized software, and overseeing subnet/IP management and WLAN security. Additionally, you will handle the passive infrastructure by planning cable routes and supervising external contractors. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a mix of strategic planning and hands-on technical support. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, or a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or equivalent long-term professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, setting up, and maintaining data networks
  • Experience in the construction of passive data network infrastructures
  • Multiple years of professional experience required if applying with a vocational qualification rather than a degree
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and documenting complex enterprise networks
  • Experience in network planning and administration for large-scale enterprise environments is preferred
